i really love instagram. while it can be a time suck if you let it, i find a lot of travel inspiration and scrolling through has become a part of my daily routine. when photos from these 5 instagrammers come up in my feed my wanderlust knows no bounds. they don’t all have a travel focus per se, but each are able to capture truly beautiful photographs of people, landscapes, and animals around the world that make me want to get up and go right now!
this wild idea is the brainchild of theron humphrey, travel photographer with an extensive resume including national geographic, huffington post and wired. his beautiful photographs are primarily of his travels alongside his adorable coonhound, maddie. need i say more?
it’s pretty astonishing that the photos on the us interior instagram feed were all taken in within the united states. i often forget how much of this beautiful country i haven’t seen yet.
jessica wright of bon traveler‘s motto is “travel well, travel often” and her photographs couldn’t be more representative of that. her feed is filled with ethereal, light, beautiful photographs and travel guides, hotel insights, irresistible food stops.
urban cowboy offers a unique boutique bed and breakfast experience in brooklyn and now nashville. i applied to stay in the brooklyn location for an upcoming nyc trip in october, but they’re booked for the next 6 months. their instagram is filled with user photos (you can tell by the different people in the same location) and it’s so interesting to see the same aesthetic across photos from tons of different people.
i can’t remember how or where i stumbled across amorlock, but her photos are truly one of a kind. her feed is both silly and serious, featuring beautiful aspen landscapes as well as anecdotes of this girl’s crazy life lived outside. she’s a big reason aspen has been added to my us travel list for the next year or so.
